AR Training: Changing chlorine gas cylinders
Changing the chlorine gas cylinder is a process in the swimming pool that is not without its dangers. Every employee must be familiar with this process and attends an annual training session. This process is now to be supported and possibly replaced by XR technologies.
Using the Unity 3D game engine, we have developed an application that is as realistic as possible and goes through the individual steps of the cylinder change process. The sequence and exact execution of the steps is extremely important and even vital, as contact with chlorine gas can lead to severe damage. Placed markers (Vuforia tracker) are used to check the steps, such as the rotation of the handwheel valve or the position of the vacuum control valve.
